support and benefits

Lone parents and their children (up to the qualifying age) are entitled to certain benefits and support. This is however entirely dependant on your circumstances - whether you work, what contributions you receive from your partner etc.
You can connect here with websites that can give you more detailed information on who is entitled to what etc, but our recommendation is that after obtaining a rough idea of what you may be entitled to, make an appointment with your local benefits agency office to discuss your personal circumstances and they will be able to guide you on more specific entitlements.
You may be entitled to nothing, but for the sake of an appointment, you may be entitled to more than you think - and every little helps.Don't be embarrassed - if you are legitimately entitled to something, it is your right to have it. It can only help you and your children and could make all the difference.
